Greenshaw High School

PiXL Edge is launched at Greenshaw

The PiXL Edge has been introduced to Year 8 and Year 12 students

The PiXL Edge is a framework for schools to develop and recognise in students those personal attributes essential for employability and life. The scheme, which has been launched at Greenshaw initially to Year 8 and Year 12, focuses on students developing five key attributes: leadership, organisation, initiative, resilience and communication.

There are three different levels to qualify. Year 8 students are starting at level 1 will gain PiXL Apprentice and Year 12 at Level 2 will gain PiXL Graduate. At each level, there are a variety of approved activities that students can undertake to achieve the attributes. The number of activities that need to be completed varies depending on the level. Students then log their activities in a database where it is then verified. These activities can then be used to support personal statements and showcase how students have developed their character.
