Greenshaw High School

A level results success at greenshaw

This year's A level students are celebrating a bumper crop of exam results.

There were many happy faces amongst those students collecting A level results at Greenshaw High School this morning. Almost a quarter of grades were A*/A and almost 60% were A*-B, with the overwhelming majority of students attaining grades that gained them entry to their first-choice university.

There were also some exceptional individual achievements. Hannah Asiki (pictured below, right), gained three A*’s and one A grade and will be taking up her place at Oxford University to study Chemistry. India-Mae Alby and Jonathan Mollah also achieved three A* grades and will be studying History at Warwick University and Biology at Imperial College respectively.

Mr Mirtschin, Director of Sixth Form, commented, “We could not be more proud of our students. We have continued to support our students, the majority being the first generation to go to higher education, to gain places at some of the most prestigious universities in the country.”

Mr House, Headteacher, added, “We are absolutely thrilled with another set of outstanding results. They reflect the motivation and commitment of our staff, students, and parents.”
