Congratulations to Year 11 for a bumper year

Today has seen our class of 2026 receive some brilliant results. 85% of all grades were at grade 4 or above, the equivalent of a grade C in the previous GCSE system. In addition, nearly 40% of all entries were at grades 7 to 9, the equivalent of a grade A in old money.

These grades represent the culmination of five years of effort in secondary school and students were supported unceasingly by their teaching and wider staff. The results of the 2026 exam season are the product of many, many hours of very hard work and dedication.
Headteacher, Mr House, said: “We are very proud of what our young people have achieved. This Year 11 cohort worked tirelessly to ensure that they got the very best grades and they fully deserve our respect. I am personally delighted that these young people are able to step out on to the next stage of their journey. I hope they do so with even greater self-confidence, knowing that they are capable of so much in the future.”
The students of Greenshaw High School will progress to a range of pathways, including our own Sixth Form and local colleges. Whether today is the end of five years, or the continuation of study into the Sixth Form we wish all members of Year 11 the very best in their future plans.
