Greenshaw High School

Career Academy business breakfast

Greenshaw's Career Academy welcomed guests to the business breakfast.

Will Smith, Executive Headteacher, together with Career Academy board members welcomed guests from companies such as Insight 2 Computing, Nuffield Foundation, Mullard Space Science Laboratory, The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, Subsea 7, St Raphael’s Hospice and The institute of Cancer Research yesterday morning. Guests joined our students for breakfast to find out more about how local and regional business can become involved in supporting our young people with their career development and planning.

Greenshaw are proud to be only school in the London Borough of Sutton to be affiliated with Career Academies UK, a charity whose aim is to build the bridge between education and the world of work. This is achieved with the support of business providing our young people with business mentors, workplace visits, masterclasses and internships or career experience.

Guests spoke to students who have already experienced the programme such as Mutsawashe Mutatapasi who interned at Reed Business Information during the summer and Mustafa Karimjee at the prestigious ‘magic circle’ law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.
