Greenshaw High School

GCSE Pathways

At Greenshaw High School we deliver a broad and balanced curriculum designed to meet the needs of each and all of our students. Starting from a base of fourteen separate subjects in Years 7 & 8, students start to explore different pathways in Year 9. Here they have the opportunity to pick up subjects like economics, Latin and child development while maintaining a broad core including languages and the humanities. In Year 10, students confirm their final GCSE pathway, built around a core of English, mathematics and science but then tailored to meet the needs and aspirations of each individual student. We encourage pathways that include the EBacc subjects (history, geography and a foreign language) but students may choose from a broad range of subjects including drama, music, 3D design and sociology.
