Greenshaw is justly proud of its success over many years in achieving the very best for its students. The school enters students across the full ability range for examinations. It is clear that the results represent significant achievements.
At Greenshaw we believe that students should consider early entry for some examinations, particularly at GCSE. These decisions are always made with the best interests of the students at heart and considered student by student. We know from our years of experience that students feel a developing sense of achievement from attaining a GCSE grade early and that our students, ambitious as they are, always seek to improve it further.
Greenshaw emphasises excellence for all: within an atmosphere of success everyone is challenged to reach higher levels of attainment. Our growth mindset philosophy encourages all of our students to achieve their potential.
Exam contingency day
Please be aware that The Joint Council for Qualification (JCQ) has introduced a contingency date, this is a day specifically set aside, should sustained national or local disruption arise during the June 2019 examination series. If disruption happens, the GCSE and/or A level examinations would be taken either for the first time or again on that day. The contingency date for 2019 is 26th June. Therefore we would advise to not plan a holiday or to be at any distance from school before 27th June 2019.
Examination timetables will be published below.
