Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award

A group of our intrepid Year 12 students enjoyed an adventure in the New Forest...

Eighteen Year 12 students successfully undertook their practice expedition in the New Forest for their Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award over the weekend of 8th to 10th June. Within their teams, the students practised using their compasses and map reading skills and set off on their pre-planned routes. At the campsite, all students excelled in their camp craft including cooking skills, maintaining a camp fire and tidy surroundings.

Lots of fun was also had with the evening team games. Many thanks and well done to all the students who took part and made the weekend enjoyable and a success. Mr Clarke and I are looking forward to the assessed weekend in early July.
