Over 200 of our Year 7 students competed in a world mathematics challenge on World Math Day on Wednesday 3rd March. They answered an amazing 104,052 questions correctly.
Over a million students, from 235 countries, united to set a new world record by correctly answering 479,732,613 questions.
Maths teacher Mr Aatal said that it was very rewarding to see pupils so excited by maths: "The students really enjoyed competing against each other and other children from around the globe. They became very competitive and they were intrigued to play against pupils from countries such as Iran and Australia in real time."
Our top two students each answered well over 5.000 questions correctly and were awarded a £15 gift token in recognition of their excellent efforts.
