NSPCC Number Day

Year 7 and 8 students took part in a number hunt.

Our Year 7 and 8 students took part in a number hunt on national NSPCC Number Day – Friday 2nd February 2018. Staff and students all over the country participate in Number Day – it is a fantastic way to have fun with maths and an opportunity for the school to support the work of the charity. The NSPCC (National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children) aims to stop child abuse and helps keep children safe.

Students were given questions at tutor time investigating different types of numbers, which they then had to find the answers for – these were written on tags which were displayed by different members of staff around the school. Students were actively engaged and very enthusiastic about using maths outside the classroom.

Mrs Khan, Maths Teacher, said: “All of the money raised will go to the NSPCC. Thank you to all families for their kind sponsorship."
