Greenshaw High School

Awards celebrates success

We celebrated the efforts and achievements of Year 7 to Year 10 students this week.

Around 400 people celebrated the efforts and achievements of Year 7 to Year 10 students in the school hall during a warm June evening. The school choir and ukulele orchestra entertained students, families and staff between the presentation of diplomas of achievements, subject awards, academic excellence awards and house prizes.

Alice, in Year 10, received the Sharma Cup for her contributions to the community alongside her impeccable academic record. Mr Smith was delighted to welcome families and staff into the school with an anecdote about his personal successes in the sport of hockey, proudly brandishing his own hockey stick whilst talking through the English national team’s successes. This prompted the assembled students to congratulate each other on their achievements. Refreshments afterwards completed the end of a highly enjoyable event.
