Winners of the Faraday Challenge

Year 8 team of students win tough science challenge.

Six of our Year students, Exploit, Eleanor, Alex, Alfie, Rexon and Oliver, won the Faraday Challenge held at Carshalton Girls School on 2nd March. Professionals from the Institute of Engineering and Technology deliver the Faraday Challenge Days to give students the opportunity to research, design and make prototype solutions to genuinely tough engineering problems.

The team was awarded a glass trophy and each received a £10 Amazon voucher. They have also been invited to attend a celebration of winners at the prestigious Institute of Engineering and Technology in London on 6th July.

Two teams of Year 8 students from Greenshaw entered the competition, so all 12 students will receive their CREST Discovery award from the British Science Foundation.
