 prestigious Jack petchey award

The achievements of some of our students were recognised last night in an awards ceremony.

The achievements of our students were recognised last night in an awards ceremony at the Secombe Theatre, Sutton.

Nine of our students were awarded the prestigious Jack Petchey award for a range of achievements including raising funds for charity, overcoming personal difficulty, sporting excellence and general community contribution. They were nominated by students and selected by the School Council, from a long list of over eighty nominations.

Deputy Headteacher Nick House said “It was a privilege to hear our students’ achievements alongside those of other young people from schools and clubs in Sutton. It was a fantastic evening that celebrated all that is good about our young people.” Each student received a certificate, a pin badge, a medallion and £200 to spend on a school project of their choice.
