Greenshaw High School

Fun in the snow

Students enjoyed a fabulous week of skiing in the lively town of Zell am See in Austria, on the edge of Lake Zell, during half term.

The town is set against the backdrop of the majestic Schmittenhöhe mountain, and is very pretty with narrow cobbled streets and attractive buildings.

The group, comprised of 25 students accompanied by three members of staff, enjoyed six full days of skiing in the centre of the Europa Sport Region, one of Austria's best known ski resorts. There was a good variety of ski runs suitable for skiers at all levels.

Evening entertainment was laid on for the students, including a thrilling ice hockey match, swimming and bowling.

Mr Carter, Head of PE said: “A fantastic time was had by all. All students were very well behaved and made remarkable progression on the slopes. They were all a real credit to Greenshaw.”

Places are now being booked for the next trip in February 2015.
