Mathematics

Welcome to the Greenshaw High School Maths Department.

All students study Maths in years 7 to 11. In years 10 and 11 students study GCSE Maths and Statistics. In the sixth form we offer A/S and A2 level Maths as well as Further Maths and Statistics. All of the courses are very popular.

A level results in Mathematics were particularly outstanding in 2010. Three exceptional students, Jake Broughton-Venner, Bhavik Patel and Andreas Yiannakou, gained A or A* in all four subjects which, for all three students, included Maths, Further Maths and Additional Further Maths. Jake Broughton-Venner, who has taken up a place studying Maths at Cambridge University, also gained a distinction in the Maths Advanced Extension paper.

All of the Maths teaching rooms have interactive white boards and many of our resources are interactive.
